Brian Bell and Kath Bell
Windy and cold but sunny.
We took in 1 gas bottle and 2 petrol cans full.
Kubota started first time - a can of tire inflater used on front left tyre. Lawns all mowed and looking good. The wind blew the grass away.
Trimmed all shrubbery Weeded and mulched all plants - feijoas, lemons, limes, pohutukawas etc - all putting on good growth. Weeded garden and planted beans and peas on manuka poles.3 Avocadoes growing happily in the garden - suggest leaving them there to bonsai - however they are probably the same variety so may not produce much
Aakron - checked out and cleaned, ran engine with earmuffs.
Fixed flat tire on back left trailer with can of tyre inflater and ingenious method of rotating the tire for 30mins using the drill.
3 Avocados growing happily in the garden - suggest leaving them there to bonsai - however they are probably the same variety so may not produce?
Cooked almost everything on the wood fire - very efficiently.
On arrival we found the under house door swinging wide open - and banging. It appears the bolt was not put thru the lock correctly last time and it came undone. nothing seems missing.
Brian has just found the Kubota key in his pocket - will post to Andersons this week. Apologies.
We brought out a gas bottle, a diesel container and a petrol container.
We travelled with Arrow - they do a good deal if they can share with others - it is well worth asking. … Also very efficient and timely, and take fuel and gas.
We took in Simons monitoring kit and after several attempts to make it work, we all failed, we talked to him several times and he decided to have a rethink.
the Urupa is very overgrown - we think it has not been mowed since we were there at Easter.
